15/10/2014 - It must have been about the 65th time that Barry checked his watch with an air of slight flustered anxiety. Every time he looked at it, he had the urge to talk himself out of this and just up and leave. He was sitting at the bar nursing a beer and the woman behind the bar was giving him a 'You got stood up, didn't you?' look. That was the thing, though. It was still five minutes before the meeting time, and he had been close to an hour early. The thing about suddenly discovering you could run at lightning speed was that it took time to hone down your estimated times of arrival.

But it also meant that he could meet up with anyone anywhere in the country whenever he felt like it. Which is what had him here in a bar in New York that was currently housing some interesting looking people. He finished his beer and contemplated whether to go for something stronger. Waking up with super powers hadn't made him any less awkward. He really needed to work on being more social, so what better than a drink with someone he met and had a nice chat with?
